Dr. Ritika Baweja is an Assistant Professor in Departments of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health and Obstetrics and Gynecology at Penn State Health, Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. She is the Medical Director of Reproductive and Behavioral Health Program. She graduated from medical school in India and completed Psychiatry residency from the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, Hershey Medical Center. After working in the community, she returned back to her Penn State family in 2019. She is a board-certified general psychiatrist with special interest in Women's Mental Health and works closely with women during their pregnancy and postpartum period. She also provides services to women struggling with mental health issues of women across life span starting from menarche to menopause, as well as related to infertility and endometriosis. She is also certified through postpartum support international, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing services to women in perinatal period. She is passionate about wellness and is a certified laughter therapist. She advocates the use of various wellness strategies on a day-to-day basis to her family, friends and patients.
