Ladan Mostaghimi, MD Bio:
Prof. Ladan Mostaghimi is an Emerita professor at the University of Wisconsin (UW), Madison. She is Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in addition to her dermatology training in France. She is the director of Wisconsin Psychocutaneous Clinic (www.mind-skin.com). Prof. Mostaghimi directed the UW Madison Psychocutaneous clinic from May 2002 to February of 2018. As the head of Psychocutaneous clinic Prof. Mostaghimi’s research focused on effects of chronic skin problems on psyche with special emphasis on sleep problems. Prof. Mostaghimi is a national and international lecturer on Psychocutaneous Medicine diseases. Through the Wisconsin Psychocutaneous Clinic she offers educational training and workshops as well as professional consulting. Prof. Mostaghimi is the author of multiple publications and book chapters on Psychocutaneous diseases. She is a member of APMNA, American Psychiatric Association (fellow of the APA), Wisconsin Dermatology Society, French Dermatology Association (honorary life member), and Wisconsin Psychiatric Society.
