Dr. Certa has practiced in-patient, emergency, and consultation psychiatry in an urban academic medical center for many years. He is an ECT provider, with a caseload of medically complicated patients. His other interests are in suicide assessment and prevention, psychosis, and health care policy, working as a trustee of the American Psychiatric Association and senior delegate from the APA to the American Medical Association House of Delegates.
