Seema Quraishi, MD is the Division Chief and Fellowship Director of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. She is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and is the Immediate Past President of the New York Society for Liaison Psychiatry.
Prior to joining Mount Sinai Beth Israel, Dr. Quraishi was an attending psychiatrist at Tisch Hospital and Assistant Professor at the NYU Langone School of Medicine, where she was awarded the Psychosomatic Medicine Fellowship Teacher of the Year. She has also worked as a psychiatric consultant to the Recanati Miller Transplant Institute and was an attending psychiatrist at The World Trade Center Mental Health Program, both at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Quraishi completed her fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at Beth Israel Medical Center and her Psychiatry residency at Maimonides Medical Center. In addition to clinical care of patients, she is dedicated to the education of fellows, residents, and medical students. In 2023, she received the Max Needleman Award as Teacher of the Year for the MSBI Psychiatry residency program. Her areas of interest include clinical education, collaborative care, mindfulness, lifestyle medicine and nutritional psychiatry.
