Dr. Garza is a consultation-liaison psychiatrist embedded on an internal medicine housestaff teaching service at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She is also a senior candidate for certificate in adult psychoanalysis at the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research. Dr. Garza’s professional interests include psychoanalytic psychotherapy; incorporating complementary treatments such as hypnosis, bright light therapy, and nutritional psychiatry into clinical practice; and issues related to identity, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within medicine.
