Dr. Stiebel received his Doctor of Medicine from the Chicago Medical School. He completed a combined Internal Medicine/Psychiatry residency and a Fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. Board certified in Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, Psychosomatic Medicine and Emergency Medicine. A many year member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the ACLP. He is a Fellow in the Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
He worked his last in person emergency medicine shift last year and is now adjunct faculty of the West Virginia University School of Medicine. He is Medical Director for Avail Telepsychiatry and remains clinically active practicing Emergency Psychiatry. Research interests straddle the fence between EM and EP. He has authored 23 publications, 7 book chapters and over 20 invited presentations. He retired from the US Navy in 2018.
