Dr Schott is a child and adolescent psychiatrist who's clinical interest has focused on emergency child psychiatry and addiction. She also has a special interest in quality improvement. She currently works at the Cleveland Clinic and has created their child psychiatric emergency services service line. She has become an advocate in the community serving committees on local and national levels including committee/board member for several organizations including American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP), American Association for Emergency Psychiatry (AAEP) , Medical Society of DC (MSDC), Academy of Consult Liaison Psychiatrists (ACLP), American Medical Association (AMA), American Psychoanalytic Association (APsA) and the American Psychiatric Association (APA).
She is actively involved in medical education. She teaches several psychiatry lecture series to medical students, residents, fellows and attendings from a broad range of specialties. She retains her Assistant Professor role at George Washington University due to her numerous medical student teaching engagment. She actively pursing a certificate in medical education with the plans of completing a master’s degree in this field. Her teaching aspirations are not limited to medical education. She also serves as an executive board member for George Washington Women in Leadership program, an Oberlin College Alumni Recruiting Network Coordinator, the Pink Boots Scholarship Committee, and mentors high school and college in STEM.
