Dr. Soumya Sivaraman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurobiology at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). After completing her psychiatry residency at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMAHNS) in India, she moved to USA and completed her psychiatry training at UAB where she continued as faculty. Currently she serves as the Quality Medical Director for the Consultation- Liaison Psychiatry/ Psychiatric Emergency services and the Director of ECT services at UAB. Her areas of interests include neuropsychiatry, healthcare quality, patient safety and ECT.
