Dr. Massey earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Forensic Psychology from the CUNY Graduate Center and John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She completed her pre-doctoral training at Massachusetts General Hospital and her post-doctoral training at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. She has been a staff psychologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and an Instructor at Harvard Medical School since 2017. She currently holds the positions of Director of the Psychiatry Department's Outpatient Treatment Evaluation Service and Clinical Director of the Urgent Care/Rapid Access Psychiatry Clinic. Within the Cardiac Psychiatry Research Program at Massachusetts General Hospital, she provides project management and clinical supervision and is also an interventionist on various studies that focus on developing and disseminating motivational interviewing and positive psychology interventions to improve health in individuals with chronic illness or those at risk of chronic illness. She is also a national board certified health and wellness coach.
