Dr. Seyfried is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and serves as Adult Service Chief and Associate Chair for Clinical and Administrative Affairs in the Department of Psychiatry at Michigan Medicine. She received her undergraduate degrees from the University of Michigan and graduated from The University of Michigan Medical School in 1997. Dr. Seyfried completed her Adult Psychiatry residency and fellowship training at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both General Adult and Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. She is an active member of the Association for Academic Psychiatry and the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. Dr. Seyfried is engaged in developing new strategies for peer review within the Department of Psychiatry where she chairs several committed focused on quality and safety. She is a voting member of the Executive Committee on Clinical Affairs and the Medical Staff Quality Committee at Michigan Medicine.
