Dr. Podgurski is a palliative care physician and Clinician Educator at the University of Pittsburgh, where she also serves as the Director of University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine’s Longitudinal Alliance Program and as a Clinical Skills Preceptor for medical students. She studied biology, psychology, and medical anthropology as an undergraduate at Carnegie Mellon, attended medical school at Harvard, and then completed Internal Medicine residency, HPM fellowship, and a Masters in Medical Education at the University of Pittsburgh. Her scholarly work focuses on psychological elements of palliative care, faculty development, communication skills training, and clinician wellbeing. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
