Dr. Ortiz-Aguayo (he/him/his) is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Triple Board Residency Program (Pediatrics/General Psychiatry/Child and Adolescent Psychiatry). He completed a Master in Medical Management at Carnegie Mellon University. His areas of interest include complex pharmacology in physically ill states, somatic symptom disorders, delirium, catatonia, , as well as novel treatments, clinical care models and systems of care development and optimization to meet the needs of patients, care givers and their providers. Dr. Ortiz-Aguayo is a Fellow of the American Board of Pediatrics, a Fellow of the Academy of Consult Liaison Psychiatry and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Ortiz-Aguayo has served in leadership positions at the state and national levels including at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and as a content expert for the American Board of Pediatrics, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the Food and Drug Administration. He is currently the Chief of Psychiatry at Nemours Children’s Health Delaware Valley. In his free time Dr. Ortiz-Aguayo enjoys spending time with his family, including his dog and two cats, cooking, travel, photography and is an avid cinephile.
