Dr. Leimbach is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry in the division of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at the Columbia University Medical Center. She works primarily as an embedded psychiatrist in the hospitalist medicine division seeing patients with a variety of medical problems. She is interested in psychiatric comorbidities in sickle cell patients, psychosis in the medically ill, and in issues surrounding capacity and competency in psychiatric patients on medical floors.
