Dr. Markley is Board-Certified in General Psychiatry, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Pediatrics, and Addiction Medicine, and is a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, and the American Psychiatric Association. She is the co-lead of the Pediatric CL SIG of the ACLP.
Dr. Markley is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the Northeast Ohio Medical University, where she graduated from in 2004. She completed the Triple Board Residency at the University of Utah Medical Center in 2009, then moved back to Ohio to practice at Akron Children’s Hospital. She is now the Division Director of Medical Coping (Consultation/Liaison Services and Addiction Medicine) at Akron Children's. Additionally, she currently President-Elect of the Medical Staff. Dr. Markley’s interests are varied and include substance use disorders, psychopharmacology of the medically ill, neuropsychiatric disorders, collaborative/ integrated care, advocacy, and physician leadership. Teaching is a passion of hers, and she is involved in teaching activities in several settings.
