Dr. Perlson received his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin and his medical degree from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Prior to matriculation at Geisel, he served as an AmeriCorps member in the AIDS United AmeriCorps program in his native Chicago. He received his Masters of Public Health from the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health where his research focused on the social and behavioral determinants of HIV. His career interests involve advocacy and care for queer populations and people living with HIV. Dr. Perlson is serving as one of the Chief Residents at the NewYork Presbyterian-Columbia/New York State Psychiatric Institute program. He is interested in exploring the intersection of these topics with interventional and psychedelic psychiatry and plans to work in an inpatient setting following graduation.
