Pediatric Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist

Aishwarya Rajagopalan is a pediatric consultation liaison psychiatrist at Duke University Medical Center. She sees patients in the Emergency Department, on the medical floors, and ICU settings. Her clinical interests include catatonia, cardiac psychiatry, pediatric solid organ transplantation, and health inequities in psychiatric practice. She enjoys supervising learners on the Pediatric Consultation Liaison service as the site director for medical students, and in assisting in development of the didactic program for the service, and enjoys developing educational content around diversity, equity, and inclusion as it pertains to consultation liaison psychiatry. She also is a psychiatrist on the North Carolina Child Psychiatry Access Line (NC PAL) and enjoys connecting with primary care clinicians to support their practice and collaborate on mental health training for primary care. In addition, she provides consultation to schools across North Carolina to train their front line staff in understanding common pediatric mental health concerns with NC PAL.
