Dr. de la Fuente is the Chief of the Neuro-Oncology Division and Director of the Neuro-Oncology Fellowship Program, Department of Neurology, University of Miami, and Neuro-Oncology Clinical Service Leader for the Oncology Service Line at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Dr. de la Fuente is a graduate of the Neuro-Oncology Fellowship program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, where she served as a Consultant in the Department of Neurology after finishing her fellowship. Dr. de la Fuente’s research focuses on targeted therapy in gliomas, specifically investigating radiographic biomarkers and developing treatments for these tumors using a combined approach of targeted therapies. Dr. de la Fuente also has an interest in addressing disparities in the Hispanic/Latino brain tumor population.
Dr. de la Fuente is an active member of the Society for Neuro-Oncology (SNO), where she serves as one of the Board of Directors Representative.
