Avanti is a currently a CL fellow at the University of Rochester, after completing residency in upstate New York. During residency, she started a patient group for women admitted to inpatient psychiatry which discussed contraception, as well as topics such as domestic violence or loss of parental custody. She plans to pursue her interests in women's mental health in fellowship and beyond with collaborative care work in primary care and OB/GYN settings. She is also passionate about medical student education.
