I am a first-year M.D. Candidate at Dell Medical School, having earned a B.S.A. in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin. Upon graduation, I plan to pursue a career in psychiatry, focusing on either perinatal and reproductive mental health or child and adolescent psychiatry. My research interests and involvement encompass two main areas: a) Investigating health services for youth, with a particular emphasis on addressing trauma, depression, and suicide through the implementation of universal depression screening, collaborative care, and measurement-based care models and b) Examining factors influencing maternal mental health and fetal outcomes, including postpartum support systems, food insecurity, and diet. My goal as a future psychiatrist is to be a dedicated advocate for my patients, delivering holistic care tailored to the unique needs of each individual's mental health journey.
