Dr. Pirl is the Vice Chair of Psychosocial Oncology in the Department of Psychosocial Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and a Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He is the PI of two NCI-funded R25 training grants in oncology research, which have trained over 400 early-career investigators. He is a former president of the American Psychosocial Oncology Society and served as the North American Associate Editor of the journal, Psycho-Oncology.
