I am the Assistant Nurse Manager of a 20-bed inpatient med surg pediatric unit who recently concurred parenting four teenage children of my own. After twenty-five years as a pediatric nurse with apprehensions about caring for children hospitalized with a psychosocial crisis, I learned to embrace that all hospitalized children are experiencing some degree of psychosocial distress, and it is my duty to learn and grow in this area. In 2023 I gained my master's in healthcare administration with a focus on person-centered care and population health.
