Minhaj Rahman is a 3rd-year medical student at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry applying to dermatology. Minhaj attended Middlebury College, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and Global Health. After graduation, he dedicated his time to conducting both clinical research at the Healey Center for ALS @ MGH and further expanded his research foundation by working on dermatology-focused clinical trials. His major research focus has included the intersection between dermatology and psychiatry, known as psychodermatology. He has worked to help delineate approaches to psychopathological symptoms in dermatology as well as understanding the utilization of habit reversal therapy in treating body-focused repetitive behavior disorders. He continues to expand his dermatology foundation, working to uncover disparities in access to dermatologic care, maximize the potential of advancing biologics, and improve clinical and research aspects of radiation dermatitis.
