Julie Ryan Wolf is a tenured Associate Professor of Dermatology and Radiation Oncology, member of University of Rochester Cancer Center NCI Community Oncology Research Program (URCC NCORP) Research Base, and the MASCC Oncodermatology Study Group Chair. She received her BA in Biological Sciences from University of Chicago, her PhD in Pathology from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her master’s in public health (MPH) from University of Rochester. Dr. Ryan Wolf is a clinical research scientist with a multidisciplinary interface of dermatology, oncology, and health outcomes research. Her work strives to improve healthcare by facilitating access to evidence-based, integrative, patient-centered care and providing reliable metrics for health outcomes through clinical trials, patient-reported measures, and big data analytics. She has laid groundwork to improve care for dermatology and oncology patients. She has conducted eight clinical trials, of which three trials were in the NCORP network, and have held two FDA investigational new drug approvals (INDs; 74,555 and 123,414). She has served as a successful mentor for graduate students, medical students, fellows/residents, and junior faculty. Her research is currently or has been funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), National Cancer Institute (NCI), Pfizer, Wilmot Cancer Institute, Hope Foundation, Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID), Dermatology Foundation, and University of Rochester CTSA.
