I have a long-standing interest in health inequalities and the barriers that people of ethnic minority face when accessing healthcare and support. I have conducted a number of primary research projects exploring the experiences of people from ethnic minority background who have conditions such as diabetes, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and mental health problems. I have developed educational resources for patients in Hindi and Panjabi languages, and am currently working on a project around women's health and safety in pregnancy.
