Dr. Pickenpaugh has a PhD in counseling psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. Her professional interests are in providing trauma informed psychotherapy to those experiencing acute reactions to traumatic events and EMDR to those with a history of medical trauma and/or vicarious trauma. Currently, she is a psychology attending at Denver Health working on the psychiatry consult liaison service. Additionally, she has been working to form a proactive adult consultation-liaison type service for trauma patients in the hospital. She serves as a faculty member to the University of Colorado School of Medicine and the psychology residency program at Denver Health.
