Dr. Adeli was born in Germany and grew up partly there but mainly in Iran. She attended medical school in Tehran (IUMS) and worked as a physician for a while before coming to the US. She conducted research at McLean Hospital at the Developmental Biopsychiatry Research Program (DBRP) before beginning her residency at MCG at Augusta University.
