Adam W. Levin, M.D. is a Resident in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health and an Affiliate Scholar at the Center for Psychedelic Drug Research and Education (CPDRE) at the Ohio State University (OSU). He received his M.D. from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. At OSU, he has worked on a clinical trial of psilocybin-assisted therapy in veterans with PTSD and another comparing psilocybin to 5-MeO-DMT in the treatment of lung cancer patients with depression. Dr. Levin has been recognized for both his clinical work and his role in medical student education and was the recipient of the 2021 Arnold P. Gold Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award. In July, Dr. Levin will transition to a post-doctoral fellowship at the CPDRE where he will continue his current work and pursue broader interests in addiction, and the interactions between drug policy, medical education and practice.
