Dr. McMahon is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine, where she is on the psychiatric consultation liaison service at Yale New Haven Hospital in addition to providing outpatient perinatal psychiatric consultations at Yale Maternal Fetal Medicine. Dr. McMahon is also part of the psychiatric team for Access Mental Health for Moms, a statewide program offering perinatal psychiatric expertise and consultation to medical providers who treat pregnant and post-partum women struggling with mental health and substance use issues. She graduated from Boston University with a B.S. in Health Science and attended medical school at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She completed psychiatry residency at Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training Program where she served as the chief resident on the psychiatric consultation liaison service at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. In addition, she completed a fellowship in consultation-liaison psychiatry at Boston University Medical Center. Her interests include reproductive psychiatry and resident and fellow education.
