Dr. Jonathon Wanta is an assistant professor in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Lurie Children's Hospital. He completed his general psychiatry residency at the University of Washington and his child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Northwestern University. He attended medical school at the Case Western Reserve School of Medicine. Dr. Wanta's has a clinical interest in developing acute care services for children and adolescents presenting with a mental health crisis. He is an active member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP), serving as a Member on the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Committee (SOGIC). He has presented at the national level and is actively involved with education for child and adolescent psychiatry fellows at Lurie Children's Hospital.
