Laia Aceituno Sierra is a liver transplant fellow at Toronto General Hospital. She graduated medical school and completed her internal medicine residency at the International University of Catalonia in Barcelona, Spain. She completed a masters degree in Clinical Research and has worked with the hepatology group at Vall d'Hebron research institute in Barcelona. Laia has been awarded two international hepatology fellowships. Her research focus is liver transplantation, rejection, portal hypertension, and hepatocellular carcinoma.
