Mira Zein is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Medical Psychiatry Division, at Stanford University. She works as the Psychiatric Director of the Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) Program for Stanford Primary Care, as well as the program director for IBH for employer-based Stanford primary care clinics for Cisco. In addition, she works with San Mateo Medical Center in their psychiatric emergency room and on their consult-liaison service, provides consultation for tech companies, and has begun a project recently with St. Anthony's Foundation in San Francisco to develop integrated models of behavioral health and addiction services for the safety net population that the foundation serves in the Tenderloin. Dr. Zein competed her residency at New York University, and completed her consult-liaison fellowship training at Stanford. She has interest in integrated models of care in order to improve access and remove obstacles for mental health care, particularly for vulnerable populations, in education of residents and fellows, and in evaluation and support of asylum and refugee seekers. She also has expertise in women's mental health and in structural competency/DEI education
