Angelique Woods, MD is a resident psychiatrist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY and completed a Bachelor of Arts in psychology with Spanish language minor at the Macaulay Honors College/CUNY Lehman College in the Bronx, NY. She has participated in recruitment for the psychiatry residency program and volunteers at the Columbus Free Clinic which provides outpatient psychiatric services to the underserved community. Prior to residency, her research efforts have included the evaluation of a pipeline program in the Bronx for underrepresented students with interests in the health professions, and a meta-analysis on HIV testing statistics, and follow-up care, with recommendations for effective strategies to expand HIV testing in emergency departments. During her medical school training, she was a Gold Humanism Honors Society recipient, an active member of both SNMA and student government, and was involved in DEI initiatives. Her current interests are broad but continue to revolve around the theme of advocacy.
