Dr. Nene Takahashi is a psychiatry resident physician at Loyola University Medical Center. Her clinical interest include adult psychiatry, particularly mood disorders, psychotic disorders, and bereavement. Dr. Takahashi was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, and moved to the US to pursue medicine. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis; her Master's in public health from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine; and an osteopathic medical degree from the Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. During medical school, Dr. Takahashi was a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society and Sigma Sigma Phi, the National Osteopathic Medicine Honors Fraternity. She has an interest in research and has published several journal publications, poster presentations, and a textbook chapter. During her free time, Dr. Takahashi enjoys cooking, reading, and pottery making.
