Dr C Hendricks Brown is Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Preventive Medicine, and Medical Social Sciences at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University. Trained as a biostatistician at the University of Chicago, he has transitioned to becoming an expert in Implementation Science Methodology. These methodologic areas include measurement, modeling, and testing or evaluation of implementation strategies across diverse areas of challenge in health. Such areas include prevention and treatment of HIV, substance misuse, mental disorders including suicide, depression, and schizophrenia. He has served as the lead methodologist on more than a dozen implementation and hybrid randomized trials, has directed a NIDA Center for Prevention Implementation Methodology, and is currently on the leadership team of two NIDA Centers housed at Stanford. He has served on numerous federal blue ribbon panels and National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine committees. For over 30 years he has led virtual grand round presentations of the Prevention Science and Methodology Group.
