J.D. Smith, PhD is Associate Professor of Population Health Sciences in the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine at the University of Utah. His work is focused on the development of innovate implementation science methods. He is Director of the Dissemination and Implementation (D&I) Science Core of the Utah CTSA; MPI of the NHLBI-funded CIRCL-Chicago Implementation Research Center; Founding Co-Director of the Mountain States Partnership for Community-Engaged D&I Science Training Institute; and Associate Editor of Implementation Science, Prevention Science, and Families, Systems, & Health. Dr. Smith was previously Associate Professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine where he was Associate Director of the Center for Prevention Implementation Methodology and Co-Director of the Program in D&I Science in NUCATS.
