Shannon Wright is a Nurse Practitioner in the Mental Health in Medicine Clinic at the University Health Network (UHN). In this role she provides mental health care to patients at UHN who live with complex medical conditions. Shannon embraces opportunities to collaborate with patients, families, and multiple medical teams to improve patient outcomes, experiences, and quality of life.
In addition to her clinical work, Shannon is an adjunct lecturer in the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto. Shannon’s current research interests include exploring the mental health needs of individuals living with long COVID syndrome, improving the quality of mental health care for solid organ transplant recipients, and optimizing patient outcomes through integrated care pathways using a stepped-care model.
