Doctor Rachel Brown is a second year resident physician in psychiatry at UPMC in Pittsburgh. She received her bachelor's degree in neuroscience from Indiana University in 2018, where she worked in a social neuroscience lab on research projects focused on social cognitive aging and stigma related to mental illness. She received her MD from Dartmouth's Geisel School of Medicine in 2023. While in medical school, she was engaged in research and education in serious illness conversations in the ICU setting and today retains an active interest in the role of psychiatry in critical care settings.
