Bekir Nihat Dogrul completed his medical education at Gulhane Medical School, Turkiye, in 2021. He then gained experience as a general practitioner in a rural emergency room. During his post-doctoral studies at the University of Arizona, under the mentorship of Dr. Frank Porreca, he conducted research on the central modulation of pain, focusing specifically on Mu-opioid receptors in mice. Currently, he is a psychiatry resident at the University of Rochester, where he started his training in 2023. He has a keen interest in psychopharmacology, chronic pain, neurostimulation, and sleep.
