Katrina Burns, MD, attended the University of Rochester for undergraduate education and then received her medical degree from New York Medical College. She completed her psychiatric residency training at the University of Illinois in Chicago and her fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at the University of Chicago. In addition, she also received training as a MacLean Medical Ethics Fellow at the University of Chicago. She is the director of the Consultation-Liaison Service at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and is the Fellowship Director for the Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship Program at Rush. She is also the associate clerkship director for the 3rd year medical student psychiatry clerkship. She teaches and supervises medical students, residents, fellows, and mental health nurse practitioner students.
