Jeanie Kim is a third-year medical student at Loma Linda University School of Medicine and an alumna of Rice University, with a deep passion for mental health care and advocacy. Her interests focus on consult-liaison psychiatry and medical education, where she is particularly interested in the intersection of mental health and spirituality among medical students. Jeanie is also committed to learning how to provide compassionate psychiatric care to marginalized populations, including immigrant communities and the incarcerated.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Jeanie serves on her school’s Academic Support Team and Resilience Committee and is actively involved as the Research Coordinator for the Psychiatry Interest Group. Through these roles, she fosters mental health awareness and support within the medical community while developing her skills as a future psychiatrist.
