Medical Student
Rutgers New Jersey Medical School
I am a medical student at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Prior to medical school, I engaged in research relating to evaluating intratumor heterogeneity in human lung squamous cell carcinoma and thyroid samples, as well as evaluate the mutagenicity of bisphenol A and styrene-7,8-oxide exposure in human lung fibroblast cells, human embryonic kidney cells, and human liver cancer cells. As a medical student, I conducted a preliminary study on exploring how much music patients with acute and chronic pain conditions listen to and how their quality of life can be improved with more access to musical outlets. I played a pivotal role in developing the IRB and leading a study on the effect of music therapy on mood, energy levels, cravings, and quality of life in patients with pain conditions.
