Originally trained as a fine artist, Jamie began college at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) before transferring to Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) to pursue the arts as well as science. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture and a minor in Chemistry from VCU before entering medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS). She is currently a PGY3 resident at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Mount Sinai Behavioral Health Center. She plans to pursue Consultation-Liaison fellowship following residency.
