Nur Eken is a third year psychiatry resident at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital. She has completed her undergraduate studies in cognitive science at Yale University, and received her MD from Vanderbilt School of Medicine. Her clinical interests include CL psychiatry, interventional psychiatry, and OCD and anxiety disorders. Her research interests include integration of biological and behavioral treatments in affective disorders, as well as health disparities and psychiatric epidemiological work. As a research track resident in her program, she has been trying to understand how combined biological and cognitive training treatments work for the treatment of depression, as well as collaborating in research investigating mental healthcare and telehealth access issues.
