Born in Hong Kong and raised in New York City until matriculation at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, Elaine Li returned to NYC to complete psychiatry residency at New York Medical College- Metropolitan Hospital and consultation-liaison psychiatry fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS). She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the ISMMS and an attending physician at the Center for Stress, Resilience, and Personal Growth at the Mount Sinai Hospital.
