Dr. Ernest Okwuonu is a dedicated, compassionate, board-certified general psychiatrist. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Keck School of Medicine at USC. He completed his consultation-liaison psychiatry fellowship at Stanford Health Care. He completed his medical degree with honors and pursued advanced training in psychiatry, including serving as chief resident and gaining extensive clinical experience and knowledge in mental health care. Dr. Okwuonu's research interests include dyspnea and its psychological ramifications, as well as transplant psychiatry. He is actively involved in addressing healthcare disparities and is currently participating in the Stanford LEAP program, where he is furthering his expertise in this area. Known for his strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, Dr. Okwuonu is committed to providing comprehensive and patient-centered care. His future endeavors include leadership administrative and advanced clinical roles, where he can utilize his psychiatry and healthcare administration expertise to drive positive change and enhance organizational success.
