Dr. Moshe Bitterman is an assistant professor in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Lurie Children's Hospital. He completed his general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry residency at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He attended medical school at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. Dr. Bitterman has a clinical interest in developing psychiatric acute care services for patients presenting to the hospital with a mental health crisis. He has been integral in the establishment of a behavioral health observation unit embedded within the emergency department at Lurie Children's Hospital. He is also passionate about educating trainees and has worked with colleagues to develop a child and adolescent emergency psychiatry curriculum.
