Dr. Akpene Sarah Agamah (she/her) is a psychiatry resident at Loyola University Chicago. She is passionate about ensuring that everyone has access to excellent healthcare, especially mental healthcare. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to medical school she obtained her MPH and MBA at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and worked with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. She is passionate about empowering minoritized groups to achieve wellness with a focus on reproductive and child psychiatry, reproductive justice, and ending food apartheid. In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with friends, cooking, and reading.
