Dr. Pearlman is a rising PGY3 Psychiatry Resident Physician with a clinical research background in the role of neuroinflammatory and autoimmune mechanisms in primary psychiatric disorders, epilepsy, and neurological conditions masquerading as primary psychiatric disorders. He has published 14 peer-reviewed articles on the topic, which have been cited a collective 1,849 times, in journals ranging from Biological Psychiatry, Schizophrenia Research, American Journal of Psychiatry, Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology, and PLoS One, among others. Dr. Pearlman also serves as a peer reviewer for manuscripts submitted to several of these same journals, including the American Journal of Psychiatry and several neurology journals. Dr. Pearlman is also interested in healthcare policy as it pertains to mental health, having earned a masters degree in public health from Dartmouth. His clinical interest is in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.
