Dr. Geoca is a PGY3 psychiatry resident at Saint Elizabeths Hospital in Washington DC. She attended medical school at The George Washington University (GW) after completing her undergraduate degree at GW, earning a double major in philosophy and biology as well as a minor in performance jazz. Along the way, Dr. Geoca has also been involved in multiple research projects and publications, created and lead humanities-focused groups in medical school, attended yoga teacher training, been awarded multiple scholarships for academic excellence, and even published a poem. She was recently elected to serve as one of two resident members on the Washington Psychiatric Society Board, DC’s chapter of the American Psychiatric Association (APA). Her biggest goal in training is to become the best clinician she can be. In her free time Dr. Geoca enjoys playing piano, synth, and bass, as well as drawing and painting. She loves writing, and is working towards publishing both fiction and non-fiction books.
