As a Population Scientist, my work revolves around improving population health through the implementation of evidence-based interventions in real-world clinical and community settings. With a focus on global cardiovascular health, community-engaged research, health services research, and implementation science, I have conducted in-depth studies on various health conditions, including cancer, stroke, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and COVID-19. Currently, I am deeply involved as a Co-Investigator in an NHLBI-funded Implementation Research Center that aims to achieve equity in hypertension control. Additionally, I lead an implementation study on Community-Health Worker-led health coaching and home blood pressure monitoring to improve hypertension control. I am passionate about driving real change in health outcomes and finding practical solutions for improving public health.
